Hello, and welcome to the launch of Digital CxO, the premier destination site and community dedicated to fostering collaboration among business and IT leaders driving digital transformation initiatives. I’m Mike Vizard, general manager and editorial director.
As part of Techstrong Group, which also includes DevOps.com, Container Journal, Security Boulevard, Techstrong TV and the newly formed Techstrong Research Group, Digital CxO aims to create an environment in which members of the CxO community can engage with one another and industry experts to better understand how to get the most out of their IT investments—which now play a critical role in every business strategy.
We all know CIOs and CTOs have deep acumen of the technologies that comprise digital business transformation initiatives. At the same time, CEOs, COOs, CMOs and other business executives are keen to understand the true potential of IT’s impact on the success of their organizations. Digital CxO is committed to bringing these leaders and this knowledge-sharing together in a single, unified community.
Now, just about anyone involved in IT knows about the divide that has existed between IT and the rest of the business for decades. In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, however, this divide is being bridged, as organizations realize how dependent they are on IT to drive digital processes. In fact, the modern C-suite has been profoundly realigned as business leaders recognize and embrace the way IT now impacts every aspect of the business.
The reason for this is simple: Organizations that have more mature digital processes generate higher revenues and profit. However, recognizing an opportunity and achieving it are not one and the same. According to Deloitte, 85% of CEOs claim to have accelerated their company’s digital initiatives during the pandemic, but most can’t articulate their overall strategy and progress beyond the fact that they made a technology investment.
Business and IT leaders can benefit from a community in which ideas, concepts and strategies can be uncovered, understood and vetted by peers and experts in a safe environment where all the members are deeply committed to each other’s ultimate success. As part of our effort to create that environment, Digital CxO will be hosting a range of events, from invitation-only conferences to intimate dinners, throughout 2022.
Digital CxO.com will be host to articles, video conversations, podcasts and unique research, all designed to provide thought leadership and unique perspectives on technology’s impact on business acceleration. Digital transformation, change management, business culture and other topics will highlight the ways in which all members of the C-suite can utilize technology to derive the most value for the organization.
I’d like to personally invite you to join the Digital CxO community at digitalcxo.com. It’s the beginning of a new era in IT when many of the prejudices that clouded perceptions about the role of IT in business are finally being set aside. We at TechStrong Group couldn’t be more excited to be a part of it.
Thank you for your attention and, most importantly, we look forward to the contributions that will build a Digital CxO community that makes everyone involved an integral part of the Techstrong family.
